Tania Azzopardi joined the Police Force as a Constable Police Woman in 1992 at the age of 24. She served in District 7 (Hamrun Police Station for eight years. Later, in the year 2000, she left the Police Force and was reinstated back in 2013. On her reinstatement she was immediately attached to the Special Branch (Immigration).
On her return to the Police Force, she started being involved in the MPA activities. Her growing interest led her to contest the Executive Committee election in 2015 making her the first female member within the Executive Committee in the history of the MPA. She has also been appointed as a member of the Commission for Social Activities.
